Welcome to Strawberry Preschool & Daycare ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate the Strawberry Mobile ERP and web parent portal application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of children, parents, guardians, teachers, and school administrators.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use our mobile application and web portal.
2 Information We Collect
To provide school management services and parent updates, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When signing in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo provided by your Google account.
- Student & Guardian Records: Student full name, enrolled class (e.g. Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, UKG, Daycare), date of birth, emergency parent contact details, and parent address provided during school admission.
- Academic & Attendance Records: Daily attendance logs, check-in/check-out timestamps, progress remarks, fee status, and school notices.
- Media & Photos: Classroom activity photos, celebration images uploaded to the school gallery by teachers/administrators, or parent-uploaded profile pictures and fee receipt slips.
- Device Information & Push Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration tokens to deliver instant notifications regarding notices, attendance alerts, and fee updates.
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for legitimate educational and administrative purposes:
- To authenticate parents and staff securely via Google Sign-In.
- To keep parents informed about their child's daily attendance, school activities, and celebrations.
- To manage fee records, invoices, and school calendar events.
- To provide real-time teacher-parent messaging and emergency announcements.
- To prevent unauthorized access and ensure campus safety.
4 Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with industry-standard, secure cloud services to support app functionality:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): Used for secure user authentication (Firebase Auth) and push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Google Privacy Policy.
- Supabase (Supabase Inc.): Used as our encrypted cloud database and media storage engine with strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Supabase Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or monetize any personal data or student information to advertisers or third-party marketing companies.
5 Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions only when required:
- Camera / Storage / Photos: Required only when an administrator or parent chooses to upload student profile pictures, fee receipts, or classroom gallery images.
- Notifications: Required to receive real-time alerts for attendance, fee reminders, notices, and direct school messages.
6 Children's Privacy (COPPA & DPDP Compliance)
The privacy of young children is of paramount importance to us. We do not permit children under 13 to independently create accounts or access the App without direct parent/guardian supervision.
All child profiles and records are managed exclusively by authorized parents, guardians, and verified school management. If you believe student information was collected without parental consent, please contact us immediately.
7 Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-grade security measures including SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption for all data in transit, encrypted databases at rest, and role-based access control (RBAC). Data is retained only as long as the student remains enrolled in Strawberry Preschool or as required for statutory academic compliance.
8 Data Access, Correction & Account Deletion
Parents and users have full rights to inspect, update, or request deletion of their personal and student records.
To request complete account or data deletion, you can contact the school office or email us at dev.harshitcreations@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Requests are processed within 7 business days.
